Keeping

and the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM):

Trillium Foundation, FCCM has created a multi-

through trade deals, imports and exports, and service
exchanges.

Special packages are offered to our web users/advertisers
at discounted prices, including web development for those
who have difficulty in the English language and who are
not technologically
inclined.
History
of FCCM:
-
Established in 1989 and formally incorporated on May 22,
1992
-
Managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

A not-for-profit organization dedicated to the provision
of services to the Chinese community
-
FCCM also helps in integration of Chinese Canadians into
the mainstream of Canada
-
Actively working towards its goals in a variety of social,
cultural, and business activities to assist not
only Chinese but also other ethnic groups in Canadian
society
-
Involved with community outreach to Canada and the world
(E.g.: Iran and China)
-
Formed close friendships with other ethnic groups (e.g.:
the Association of Progressive Muslims of
Ontario (APMO) and the Canadian Federation of Intercultural
Friendship (CFIF))
-
Activities include events such as the annual Taste of
Asia Street Festival in Markham in which over
60,000 people are expected to attend, fundraising for
charities and community service.

Has arranged fact finding trips to China for the Town
of Markham (1994, 1996, 1998)

Hosted Chinese delegations for business exchanges (E.g.:
Business Delegation of Songjiang County of Shanghai, Foreign
Economic Relations Commission of Nanshi District Shanghai,
and Nanshi District
Food Delegation).
