Taste of Asia 2009

The 7th Annual Taste of Asia Festival, which
is Canada's largest Asian Street Festival features:
- 3 Stages of Entertainment with
Surprise Hong Kong and & Asian Star Appearances
- Noodle Eating Competition
- International Car Show Contest
- Over 120 Asian Food Booths
- York Region Asian Health Fair 50 Booths
- Free Raffles, Tour Packages and Prizes

Admission is FREE and will attract 70,000 visitors over two days.
Han Dynasty Imperial Jade Photo Exhibition at the Markham Chinese Cultural Centre
Over 100 Basketball Teams will participate in one of the largest street basketball tournaments in Canada.
Kids Zone playground area with games and more.
The purpose of the Taste of Asia Festival is to promote the multicultural mosaic of Canada and create harmony between different ethnic groups through an event of mutual respect and co-operation.
Hosted by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM), and the Association of Progressive Muslims of Ontario (APMO), with the support of Canadian Heritage, Social Services Network (SSN), Canadian Federation of Intercultural Friendship (CFIF), York Regional Police, Asian Canadian Entrepreneurs and Professionals (ACEP) in cooperation with the Town of Markham and the Regional Municipality of York.
