Taste of Asia 2010
Date: Sat. June 26 to Sun. June 27
Time:
Sat - 12pm to 12am, Sun - 12pm to 6pm
Location: Kennedy Rd. and Steeles Ave.
The Greater Toronto Area and its’ surrounding
locales are undoubtedly melting pots of cultures
from all over the world, and the annual Taste of
Asia Festival does nothing short of representing this colorful mosaic of ethnicities by bringing together large-scale professional entertainment by
some of Asia’s top artists. These feature
performances, some of which in the past have
included the Grasshoppers, Johnson Li, Fala Chen,
and Chris Wong etc., helped not only to provide an
exciting festival atmosphere to attending
individuals, but also served to attract local area
residents and visitors from all over the province to
participate. The professional sound and lighting
set-up, special effects, together with two full days
of pre- and post-show entertainment by local
artists and cultural performances from different
ethnic groups made this event into the largest
outdoor festival the City of Markham has ever
seen.
Featured Performers
This year, in order to ensure the continuous
success of this festival, we are extremely
proud to be able to present Hong Kong’s top
ranking TVB artist, Mr. Bosco Wong to perform for us. Throughout the past five
years, Bosco has played leading roles in a
number of popular TV series, portraying
himself as a reputable and charismatic actor,
thus gaining a tremendous fan base in Hong
Kong and all over Asia. His popularity is also
gaining momentum in areas outside of
simply television and acting, as he has
established himself as a singer and dancer
since his record debut in December 2008.
To make this event even more spectacular,
we have also invited Grace Wong and
Vivien Yeo, both of whom are popular
TVB artists from Hong Kong. Grace Wong
and her partner were the winners of the
Asian equivalent of “Dancing with the stars” in
2008 and she has since then gained
tremendous recognition in both acting and
dancing fields. Vivien Yeo is a Chinese-born
Malaysian TVB actress who started her acting
career after winning Miss Chinese
International in 2004, and has since become a
renowned actress in Asia.
